Easter Egg Hunt
Volunteers gather in the park early in the morning on the Saturday before Easter to hide eggs. Children are divided into age groups and hunt and collect eggs in different sections of the park. This ensures that every child is successful in their quest for eggs. This past year we hid over 4,000 eggs filled with toys and candy!
Yard of the Month
Committee members evaluate yards for color, form and tidyness. Residents may nominate other residents’ yards for consideration. The monthly winner receives a $35 gift card to Ace Hardware.
Garage Sales
Westgate deed restrictions allow garage sales only on designated community days. We try to host a garage sale each Spring and Fall. We place signs at the entrances to the neighborhood to advertise the event and attract shoppers.

4th of July Freedom Fest
Festivities include a parade, food trucks, live band, scavenger hunt, water slides, snow cones and much more. Prizes awarded for best-decorated bikes, wagons, pets, etc. The evening ends with HOA-sponsored fireworks.
National Night Out
Westgate participates in this annual community-building campaign that promotes neighborhood camaraderie and safety. Local police agencies join in as well.
Halloween Pizza Party and Costume Contest
Take the stress out of Halloween. Bring your costumed-kids for pizza and drinks. They can participate in the costume contest (lots of prizes) and trick-or-treat on the way home.
Christmas Decoration Contest
A panel of judges drives all around Westgate inspecting the holiday decorations on a pre-arranged weekend in December. Winners not only get bragging rights, but also gift card prizes.
Other impromptu events such as block parties, holiday parties, markets, etc. are held throughout the year.
